Great Fashion Designer: Who were they before

A fashion designer is a person who create dresses, suits, shoes, other clothing designs and accessories being purchased by the consumers. But the question is, how do great fashion designer attain the place where they are right now? Of course it wouldn't be as easy as what you would think because for sure they have gone through different challenges.

Let us consider Giorgio Armani, an Italian fashion designer that is known for his menswear. He is consider the most successful designer for he has an annual turnover $1.691 billion and a personal fortune of $5 billion. That was truly amazing!, but how did he became famous? Well, Armani born in Piecenza, he studied medicine and photography before completing military service. He first worked as an assistant designer in a well-known fashion house, but he did not stayed there for which he left the fashion house to pursue freelance work. By the year 1974, with the help of his partner Sergio Galeotti, he was able to established “Armani” with a menswear label. Following that year, he introduced womenswear. In the year 1980, Armani achieved his international breakthrough by tailoring for many Hollywood names such as Richard Gere. By 2001, he was named as the most successful Italian designer by Forbes.

One great designer also to consider is Ralph Lauren, an American fashion designer who is known for his Polo Ralph Lauren clothing brand. Lauren from a young age have started working after school in order for him to have money to buy suits he wants. He also used to sell ties to his fellow classmates. He went to Baruch School of Business and Civic Administration in New York City where he actually studied business, but after two years he drop out from school. He did not attended any fashion school but he was able to worked for Brooks Brothers as a salesman. In the year 1967, with the financial helped of Norman Hilton, Lauren opened a necktie store where he also sold ties of his own design, under the label “Polo”. Later on he bought the name from Hilton.

Another great fashion designer from America is Marc Jacobs, the head designer of Marc Jacobs. For all we know he was the creative director of the reputable French design house Louis Vuitton. Jacob went to High School of Art and Design in New York City and graduated by the year 1981. At the age of fifteen, he already worked as a stockboy at Charivari one of the clothing boutique in New York City. Then he entered Parsons, the new School in Design and during his tenured he was able to won Perry Ellis Gold Thimble Award. In the same year, Jacob was also awarded as Chester Weinberg Gold Thimble Award and the Design Student of the year. Moreover, Jacob is known for working with many famous artists for his Louis Vuitton collections. As of this year, Jacobs remains the Creative Director for Louis Vuitton.



Along with that, these 3 designers became famous because they do work hard for the reason that at a very young age they was able to work already. In order for you to become successful in the field that you have chosen you must be patient and be determined.
